Mahogany Twin Pedestal Dickens Desk

Splendid twin pedestal Dickens desk (named such as it is the style Charles Dickens wrote many of his books at , including Great Expectations). Circa 1870.

Mahogany, Central writing slope with a well above a faux drawer, canvas writing pads, and above are fourteen small drawers. The interior has pigeon holes & little Satin wood drawers. Lovely patina.

One of the handles has a chip to the bottom as shown.

It measures 1200mm wide x 720mm deep and stands 1070mm high. The area for leg room is 590mm high.

The colour may be slightly different depending on your screen. All of our furniture is Antique or Vintage and has patina.

When we restore pieces we never take them back to raw as this lessens the integrity of a piece. Patina is the build up of little marks and scratches over the many years of the life of an antique, these give it a lovely warm overall appearance.
