Pair of antique/vintage Chinese rice barrels. Beautifully hand painted with copper twisted bands to the tops. They do have some age to them and have great patina but I am hesitant to date them accurately as they are not something we deal in often. .
They stand 455mm high and are 360mm x 360mm across the wide part of the belly.

When we restore pieces we never take them back to raw as this lessens the integrity of a piece. Patina is the build up of little marks and scratches over the many years of the life of an antique, these give it a lovely warm overall appearance.
