Georgian Oak Bureau Bookcase
We love this stunning Georgian, English, Oak bureau bookcase. Circa 1800.
Handsome dental cornice to the top and below is a the bookcase fitted with adjustable shelves.
The fold out desk is fitted with drawers and compartments and a leather writing pad.
This sits above two smaller and three long, graduated drawers below, with original brass handles, standing on bracket feet.
It measures 980mm wide x 500mm deep and is 2170mm high. The desk height is 770mm.
The colour may be slightly different depending on your screen. All of our furniture is Antique or Vintage and has patina.
When we restore pieces we never take them back to raw as this lessens the integrity of a piece. Patina is the build up of little marks and scratches over the many years of the life of an antique, these give it a lovely warm overall appearance.
