Mid 18th Century Chest On Base

Mid 18th Century chest on base, beautiful Walnut with Oak linings.
Originally it would have stood on long turned legs but they must have become worn or damaged and it has been shortened at some point long ago.
It is still a fabulous piece of furniture and you can feel the history of them.
There is a somewhat hidden curved top drawer with an array of drawers below. It is in two pieces with the lower three drawers on shaped skirt being the bottom section.
There are a couple of handles that are slightly different and it has some historical repairs.
It measures 1040mm wide x 580mm deep x 1270mm high.

The colour may be slightly different depending on your screen. All of our furniture is Antique or Vintage and has patina.

When we restore pieces we never take them back to raw as this lessens the integrity of a piece. Patina is the build up of little marks and scratches over the many years of the life of an antique, these give it a lovely warm overall appearance.
